Aerial Ballet Workshop And Photoshoot
Price is £0.00

Aerial Ballet is 120min workshop & photography session dedicated to exploring performing aerial while wearing wearing pointe shoes,
This is an advanced workshop aimed at providing a safe space for people who have both aerial and pointe work experience to come and explore
how to combine both disciplines.

The workshop is designed primarily around aerial silks in pointe shoes and will explore mounting/dismounting, climbing, manipulating the silks and
looking at a variety of moves to experience how wearing pointe shoes alters the way in which you interact with the equipment, workshops can be adapted
and include hammock style chorography or other aerial equipment but please contact us prior to booking if your desired equipment is not silks.

While the aerial work will be adapted to the skill level of participants basic aerial skills such as climbing and inverting are assumed and required,
the main prerequisite is you must be currently actively be regularly training pointe work with a professional teacher, while we will include a ballet
style warm up including pointe warm up this is not a workshop that will teach pointe work techniques, all participants must have professionally fitted and
broken in shoes, we advise using a pair that is at about 3/4 life and highly advise sewing a heel loop for your ribbon to pass through if you do not already
use one prior to attending.

The workshop will start with a basic set of foot exercises flat and then in pointe shoes, together with a normal warm up, we will then explore mounting
and climbing moving on to looking at a variety of moves and poses, followed by a photo shoot utilising our range of custom dyed silks and will include two images of your choice from a small selection of the ones taken together with the ability to purchase additional ones

Please note that aerial and pointe work are both high risk activities, therefore the combination of these greatly increases the risk of injury,
for this reason we limit the class to no more that 3 participants to keep the instructor ratio high and there will be rest periods during the workshop
while equipment / instructor time sharing while others are being spotted and during the photo shoot section.
Our aim is to provide workshops to small groups of typically no more than 3 in order to maximise equipment time and provide a higher instructor interaction
Our workshops are conducted at our purpose built studio with 3x6mtr 1x6.5mtr and 1x 8.5mtr rig points available, with sprung floor throughout and lots of
crash mats, fully rigged for rescue rigging points throughout, so dont worry if you get stuck together with spotting harness rigging if we need it

All set on the edge of the Fold Hill Hamlet in rural Lincolnshire, if you are looking for traveling PE22 8RG is the postcode to use
